Upon A Star Entertainment was created with a simple ambition: to bring more entertainment to the North East while creating meaningful opportunities for performers and creatives.

Based in the North East of England, we are an entertainment and creative company working across live performance, theatre, children's entertainment, events, workshops and professional performer development.

Our journey began from a love of live entertainment and a desire to build something that could bring talented people together, create memorable experiences for audiences and provide opportunities for performers to take their next step.

And this is only the beginning.

We understand first-hand how difficult it can be to build a career in the performing arts.

There is often a gap between finishing training and getting those first professional opportunities. You can have the talent, the training and the ambition, but gaining the experience and credits needed to take that next step can be one of the biggest challenges.

That's one of the reasons Upon A Star exists.

We want to help bridge that gap by creating opportunities for emerging performers, recent graduates, returning professionals and established creatives to perform, develop their skills, gain experience and build meaningful professional connections.

At the same time, we want to bring audiences exciting, engaging and memorable entertainment — from intimate celebrations and children's parties to theatre productions and live events.

We believe the two should go hand in hand.
